Reed Wins Second Modified Feature

It was the final points nights at the Charleston Speedway on Saturday. Eighty six drivers were in attendance.

Kenny Carmichael, Jr. jumped out to an early lead in the Modified feature before running into issues that forced him to leave the track. That opened the door for Tanner Reed, who won his second race of the year. Hunt Gossum, who won the consi feature, finished in second.

In the B-Mod feature, Ed Roley and Deece Schwartz exchanged leads on the first two laps. Roley took control and went on to the victory.

Danny Oates was declared the winner of the Hornet feature after Matt Mackey was disqualified due to rough driving. Joey Smyser claimed the points championship.

In the Factory Stock feature, Jesse Simmons led every lap to take the win.

In the Street Stocks, the winner was Jerrad Krick.

Saturday will be the Street Stock Fall Nationals and the Midwest Stock Car Tour. Other classes running are B-Mods, Factory Stocks, and Hornets. Gates will open at 3:00 with qualifying at 5:30 and races to follow.
